So I was pretty ecstatic about what I wore to work on Monday and I meant to post pictures that evening; however, I got caught up in a blur of work obligations, dentist appointments, and newsletter editing. What day is it again? Oh, right--Tuesday. I suppose it's only been a day, but yesterday feels so very long ago!
In regards to my outfit, it was simple and classy and timeless all in one. I paired a super conservative black and white wool skirt with a plain black t-shirt and the best shoes ever. The best part? The skirt is pre-loved and totally vintage!
I am all about wardrobe recycling lately. This patterned knee-length skirt is one of my favourite finds from my mom's closet--she wore it in the workplace back in 1985 and it's truly wonderful. The only downside is that it doesn't have a slit in the back, so I could only separate my knees a small amount while walking. I suppose ladies in the 80s were not meant to power stride. I kept thinking how sorry I'd be if someone tried to chase me or if it started raining. A small sacrifice for fashion?
I apologize for how blurry the previous photo is--my camera was in video mode and silly me, I didn't notice until after-the-fact.
Thank you to the 80s for creating this magnificent piece of clothing and to my mom for a.) keeping it all these years and b.) being the same size as me!
Happy.... Tuesday? Goodnight loves!
