Love at Seven Months

We’ll fight about the weather, I’ll say cool and you’ll say warm, But when the skies get angry, You’ll protect me from the storm.   We’ll fight about directions, You’ll say left and I’ll say right, But when we drive the distance, I’ll hold your hand all night.   We’ll fight about tequila, You’ll fall up against the wall, But upon your morning wake-up, I’ll prescribe you Tylenol.   We’ll fight about the laundry, You’ll shrink my favourite dress, But when I try it on me, You’ll say that I look my best.   We’ll fight about schedules, I’ll wake and you’ll be tired, But thank goodness for caffeine, I’ll brew tea and you’ll be wired.   We’ll fight about athletics, I’ll beg you to be cautious, But when you wear a helmet, You’ll make me not so nauseous.   We’ll fight about long distance, I’ll be here and you’ll be there, But when you lift and spin me, We’ll forget we used to care.   We’ll fight about little things, I’ll hug you and you’ll smile, We’ll fight about the big things, But let’s hope that takes a while.
